Dr Justin Bui is an Australian-trained Specialist Dermatologist who completed a prestigious fellowship at St John’s Institute of Dermatology in London after finishing specialist dermatology training in Western Australia and graduating from medicine at the University of Western Australia.

During his training he was awarded the Postgraduate Medical Council of Western Australia’s Junior Doctor of the Year Award. He was also the Chair of the National Trainee Representatives Committee at the Australasian College of Dermatologists.

After completing his dermatology specialist training at tertiary adult and paediatric hospitals in Western Australia, he undertook further training by completing a fellowship in Medical Dermatology and Medical Education at the world renowned St John’s Institute of Dermatology at Guy’s and St Thomas’ Hospitals in London, UK.

He holds locum consultant positions at Royal Perth Hospital and Fiona Stanley Hospital where he continues to contribute to the training of registrars and medical students.

He has presented at national and international conferences as well as published in international journals. He believes in providing evidenced based, holistic and patient-centred care. He is currently an appointed member of the Guidelines Committee at the Australasian College of Dermatologist. He has special interests in inflammatory dermatoses (psoriasis, eczema, acne and immunobullous conditions), skin cancer and procedural dermatology.

Dr Jonathan Chan

Dr Jonathan Chan graduated from the University of Western Australia. He underwent training at Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital including laboratory work investigating the role of skin immunity in the generation of tumour responses. He obtained the Fellowship of the Australasian College of Dermatologists in 2003.

He is a consultant dermatologist at Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital and also consults at Karrinyup Dermatology. He is a Clinical Associate Professor of Medicine at the University of Western Australia and a Supervisor of Training of the Australasian College of Dermatologists.

His interests include all areas of general dermatology particularly psoriasis, atopic dermatitis and skin cancer management. His research interests are in the pedagogy of medicine and emerging therapeutics of skin disease.

Dr Judy Cole

Dr Judy Cole is a Fellow of the Australasian College of Dermatologists who works in private dermatology practice at St John of God Subiaco Hospital.

Dr Cole’s interests include general medical dermatology, non-melanoma and melanoma skin cancer and surgery, phototherapy for dermatological disease and dermatoses of pregnancy.

Dr Cole was a foundation member of the Western Australian Kirkbride Melanoma Advisory Service (WAKMAS) at its inception in 2000.

After serving as a panel member Dr Cole was appointed Medical Director of WAKMAS in 2003 and continued in this role until the end of 2008.

Dr Cole is a member of the newly formed Non-melanoma Skin Cancer Advisory Group.

Rachael completed her dermatology training in Western Australia and became a Fellow of the Australasian College of Dermatologists in 2012. She practices general medical and surgical dermatology with a special interest in complex medical dermatological problems, paediatric dermatology, female genital dermatology and allergic contact dermatitis. She also holds sessional Consultant Dermatology posts at Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital, Perth Children’s Hospital and Fiona Stanley Hospital.

Catriona Hayes

Dr Catriona Hayes

Dr Catriona Hayes graduated from the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland in 2007, where she studied medicine on a scholarship for academic excellence. She completed Basic Specialist Training in the Mater Misericordiae University Hospital in Dublin between 2008-2010 and was awarded Membership of the Royal College of Physicians UK in 2014.

In 2015, she completed a 3-year PhD in Biotechnology, studying mechanisms of drug resistance in cancer, via the National Institute for Cellular Biotechnology at Dublin City University, the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, and the Harvard Institutes of Medicine.

Dr Hayes completed her 4-year Dermatology specialist training programme at Cambridge University Hospital NHS Foundation Trust (Addenbrooke’s hospital) in 2022 and she is on the GMC Specialist register as a Consultant Dermatologist in the UK.

Dr Hayes is currently in the process of securing specialist recognition with the Australasian College of Dermatologists. She is undertaking a 12-month period of supervised practice at Karrinyup Dermatology in order to attain full recognition as a specialist Dermatologist in Australia, which is expected to occur in 2024.

Dr Hayes commences practice at Karrinyup Dermatology in November 2023. She accepts all general dermatology referrals and has a special interest in skin cancer and cutaneous surgery.

Professor Prasad Kumarasinghe received his Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery in 1983 and completed his Doctor of Medicine in 1989.

He trained further in dermatology in Sri Lanka and Australia. He worked as a Consultant Dermatologist at several university teaching hospitals in Sri Lanka and Singapore before commencing practice in Australia.

Prof Kumarasinghe is a leading authority on pigmentary disorders and tropical dermatology. He is a regular speaker at many national and international dermatology forums including the World Congress of Dermatology, International Congress of Dermatology and the International Pigment Cell Conference.

Prof Kumarasinghe is a Consultant Dermatologist at St John of God Subiaco Hospital and Hollywood Hospital. He is also a Clinical Professor in the School of Medicine at the University of Western Australia and an Adjunct Professor in the College of Science, Health and Education at Murdoch University, WA.

Prof Kumarasinghe has authored or co-authored more than 100 scientific papers in reputed medical journals and written chapters in several internationally recognised dermatology textbooks. A multi-author book on pigmentary disorders edited by him was published in 2018 by Springer Publishers.

Prof Kumarasinghe has sub-specialty interests in:

Nisa has practiced as a Consultant Dermatologist in public and private sector in Sri Lanka for over 5 years before moving to Australia. She has also been involved in teaching undergraduate medical students, junior doctors and post graduate doctors during her time in Teaching Hospitals.

Nisa has been involved in clinical as well as academic dermatology. She is interested in dermatology research and has presented her work in international conferences and published in leading journals. She has also contributed to books by co-authoring chapters specially on Pigmentary Dermatoses, fungal infections etc. and she is also a reviewer for several dermatology journals.

Her interests include pigmentary disorders, tropical dermatology, inflammatory dermatoses of skin including acne, blistering disorders, eczema and psoriasis.

He completed a Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery from the University of Western Australia. After completing his internship at Royal Perth Hospital, he was among the initial medical cohort to move to the new Fiona Stanley Hospital. He then spent time as a medical registrar before commencing dermatology specialisation. He underwent training as a dermatology registrar at Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital, Fiona Stanley Hospital, Royal Perth Hospital, Perth Children’s Hospital and Princess Margaret Hospital in Western Australia. This has included servicing the rural and remote areas of Western Australia in the Kimberley, Pilbara and Gascoyne regions.

During his training he was selected to spend a year working as a dermatology registrar in London, United Kingdom at the Chelsea Westminster Hospital and Royal Marsden Hospital. In this time, he worked with and learnt from several world leading experts in male and female genital dermatology, skin cancer and paediatric dermatology. Following the completion of his dermatology training in WA, he was offered a position in Cambridge, UK working as a dermatology consultant with Cambridge University NHS Trust (Addenbrookes Hospital).

Dr Ng has spent time in Europe attending specialist courses by the EADV in Acne, Rosacea and Cutaneous Lymphoma. He is a current member of the Australasian College of Dermatologists, British Association of Dermatologists, European Academy of Dermatology and Venerology and International Society of Dermatology.

He is committed to continuing professional development and the teaching and training of dermatology in both doctors and medical students globally. He has been a part of the medical student dermatology education at Imperial College School of Medicine (UK), Cambridge University (UK) and University of Western Australia. He currently serves as a supervisor to dermatology trainees at Kilimanjaro Christian Medical Centre (Moshi, Tanzania).

His special interests include: skin cancer, acne, eczema, psoriasis, photo dermatology, male genital dermatology and he is a registered provider of botox injections for axillary hyperhidrosis. Dr Ng takes great pride in his work and is committed to providing a high standard of dermatological care in an empathetic, effective and professional manner.

She worked as a rural and remote area General Practitioner for 5 years before training in dermatology in Perth. She was awarded the Gold Medal, Travelling Fellowship, for the highest overall national score in the Fellowship examination and the President’s medal in Clinical Pharmacology.

She is a founding and current director at Dermatology Specialist Group in Perth. She has retained her commitment to rural medicine and is the visiting dermatologist to the Kimberley area of Western Australia as well as having worked in the dermatology department at Royal Perth Hospital for 20 years. She publishes regularly in peer review journals and has always been involved in teaching medical students, junior doctors, GPs and specialist dermatology trainees.

Her clinical interests include the diagnosis and treatment of skin cancers, eczema, acne, other inflammatory skin diseases and the cutaneous manifestations of systemic disease.

Currently, Dr Warren holds multiple prominent positions. He currently serves as a visiting dermatology specialist at the Women and Children’s Hospital in Adelaide, where he previously held the role of Head of the Dermatology Unit. Additionally, he provides consulting services to the Top End of the Northern Territory by regularly visiting the Royal Darwin Hospital. Dr Warren is also associated with Dermatology SA, where he practices privately and focuses on delivering comprehensive dermatological care.

Throughout his career, Dr Warren has demonstrated a strong commitment to rural medical services and has actively participated in teaching medical students and specialist trainees. He has received recognition for his clinical teaching and has been involved in various academic activities, including acting as a visiting examiner for the Pacific Dermatology Training Centre in Fiji.

Ahmed completed his undergraduate Medical degree at the University of Birmingham, UK, in 2008
and later completed the UK physician’s exams (MRCP). Having initially trained as a GP, he chose to
retrain in dermatology at the prestigious Royal London Hospital and Royal Free Hospital. He was
admitted to the UK Dermatology Specialist Register in 2021.

Ahmed has had exposure to all areas of adult and paediatric dermatology including skin cancer,
inflammatory dermatoses, scalp disorders and psychodermatology. He has a strong general medical
background. Ahmed can consult in English, French, German and Urdu/Hindi. He is inclusive and
respectful of all patients including patients identifying as LGBTQIA.

When he isn’t practicing dermatology, Ahmed moonlights as a successful comedian.
