Dr Bernadette Ricciardo
Consultant Dermatologist
Dr Bernadette Ricciardo graduated with honours from the University of Western Australia in 2004. She completed her internship at Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital, followed by two years at Princess Margaret Hospital, where she obtained a Diploma of Child Health.
Dr Ricciardo undertook dermatology training across Queensland, Ireland, and Western Australia, and was awarded Fellowship of the Australasian College of Dermatologists in 2012.
In 2025, she completed her PhD, The Koolungar (children) Moorditj (strong) Healthy Skin (KMHS) Project – the first co-designed research-service study to describe skin health and disease in urban-living Aboriginal children and adolescents in Western Australia. She is a Clinical Associate Professor of Medicine at the University of Western Australia and a postdoctoral researcher at The Kids Research Institute Australia.
Dr Ricciardo is the current Head of Service at Fiona Stanley Hospital, a consultant dermatologist at Perth Children’s Hospital, and a visiting dermatologist to Derbarl Yerrigan Health Service Aboriginal Corporation and the South West Aboriginal Medical Service.
At Hollywood Dermatology, Dr Ricciardo accepts new referrals for paediatric patients.
